My 8x10 Homeland photographs are simply places and moments in time across the United States that catch my attention and I try to compose a good photograph from. This pictorial endeavor originated in 1981 with a cross country drive at the age of 25 unknowing what I would find. After a 30 year hiatus, exploring other capabilities and life choices, I returned to the call of roaming roads with my large format camera in tow; most recently those along the Columbia River of the American northwest. Picking up where I left off this body of work consists of American cultural landscapes, many with homes or other artifacts of our handiwork in them.
